Frequently Asked Questions


Below is a list of some of the most frequently asked questions when using this website.

Who can access the Alumni Directory?
The Alumni Directory is only available to logged in users who are current alumni of the Wesley Foundation at Virginia Tech.

How do I login?

You can login at the top or bottom left side of any page. Please the page Access Directions for information on logging in.

What if I do not know my login information?
You can obtain your information by clicking the "New Password" link above and entering your email address on file with the Wesley Foundation. If the email address is not found in the database you will be immediately told and can try a different email address. Once you get the email on file, you will be emailed instructions with a link to click to reset your password. Follow these instructions and you can then login with the username and password provided in the email.

What if I can no longer check the email address you have for me?
In some cases the email address on file with Wesley will be one you cannot check. If this is the case, please Contact the Alumni Admin and be sure to include your first name, last name, graduation year, and new email address where you can be contacted. The Website Admin will update your listing to switch your email to the new address and then send you a password reset email as described above.

How do I update my Profile?
To update your profile, first login. Then you can click on the "My Profile" link in the top or side menus on this or any other page. You can also change your email address, username, or password by clicking on the "Login and Email" tab from the "My Profile" link.

How do I view the alumni directory?
To view other alumni directory listings, first login. Then click on the "Alumni Directory" link in the top or side menus on this or any other page.

How do I add my birthday to the calendar?
You can add your birthday in your profile and it will automatically show up on the calendar! You do not have to specify the year.

How do I add an event to the calendar?
The calendar is for Wesley Foundation Alumni events. If you have an alumni event to add, please use the Contact link to email event details to the Wesley Foundation or an administrator and they can add it to the calendar.

How does the Gallery work?
The gallery allows alumni to upload photos to share with other alumni. At this time, the gallery is only viewable by other registered alumni after logging in. Large pictures are generally resized to smaller because of storage space considerations. If Virginia Tech ever asks us to use less web space, we will comply and delete older pictures from the gallery.

How does the forum work?

The forum is not meant to replace the alumni listserv but instead add to it. You can discuss any  topic you would post to the alumni listserv and more if you would like. As general topics grow into more specific ones, additional message boards may be added to sub-divide the forum into separate sections for ease of use and navigation.
