Singers is one of the most dynamic and moving groups to be a part of at the Wesley Foundation. As an entirely volunteer, non-auditioning choir, this group of vocalists comes together to sing just BECAUSE THEY WANT TO!!! It’s a great chance to continue singing if you have previously been involved in a choir, or even to start singing for the very first time. Singers is led by the brilliantly talented Leigh Anne Taylor, the director of music at Blacksburg United Methodist Church. To contact her or to ask her questions about Singers, email her at music@blacksburgumc.org. You can also contact the Singers chair, Jeff Brooks (xvu5156@vt.edu).
Rehearsal for Wesley Singers is at 7 pm on Tuesday nights. Many of those in Singers will gladly tell you that this is one of their favorite hours of the entire week. You don’t want to miss it!
Stay posted for future Singers events! Later this fall and next spring, Wesley Singers plans on leading worship at local churches. These dates are to be announced. Also, keep alert for more news on the Spring Break Mission Trip, which will provide plenty of opportunities for Singers to use their talents. If you’re in Singers and you’re thinking about your future plans for Spring Break, COME WITH US! It’s always a life-changing experience, and a ton of fun.
Be a part of Wesley Singers! It’s where the music happens!
